Ground solar PV power plants for business. Commercial solar power plants are stations with a capacity of 50 kW to 5 MW. The area of such solar systems depends on the number of solar modules and ranges from approximately 300 m 2 to 10 ha. The comparatively small size of the power plant makes it possible to achieve the optimum solar panels location according to
The brands and types of the PV systems purchased by each power station are different, which makes the quality of the power plant uneven, and increases the uncertainty in the operation stage. For instance, when sampled the quality of 4800 distributed PV systems in Jinzhai County, Anhui Province, it was found that there were 1099 inverters with quality problems, and

On a large, utility-scale photovoltaic power plant, the solar panels (or modules) can be installed either on fixed, ground mounted structures, facing South at an angle depending on the latitude of the site, or they can be fixed on mobile structures called solar “trackers” which rotate on one or two axes so that the solar panels face the sun all day long. Ground mounted photovoltaic

The national average ecological value of PV land is 5.38 × 10 4 CNY/hm 2, which is analogous to the existing research results (7.10 × 10 4 CNY/hm 2) (Liu et al., 2020). Fig. 7. The ecological services value of PV power stations land in various provinces of China.
The results demonstrated that developing PV power stations is an efficient solution to realize land appreciation. From the perspective of single-factor value, power generation contributes the most to the value enhancement of PV land, accounting for more than half. The electricity value of PV land is approximately 1.90 × 10 5 ∼5.09 × 10 5 CNY/hm 2.
The electricity generation value of PV power stations land in various provinces of China. The significant imparities in the electricity value of PV land exist in various provinces. The province with the highest electricity value is Guangdong, followed by Jiangxi and Shandong.
Given the availability of data and the spatial scale of the study area, the equivalent coefficient method, one of the most popular methods for assessing the value of ecosystem services and natural capital (Z. Zhang and Huisingh, 2018), is introduced to quantify the ecological value of PV land.
The production value of PV land from integrated agricultural activities can reach 6.28 × 10 4 ∼1.53 × 10 5 CNY/hm 2. The ecological value of PV land is around 2.43 × 10 4 ∼8.95 × 10 4 CNY/hm 2, depending on the conversion of the land cover type associated with the construction of different power station modes.
Accordingly, this study conducts a quantitative analysis of the land use benefits of PV power stations at the provincial spatial scale in China, aiming to bridge research gap and explore the harmonization and improvement of renewable energy production while realizing land resource value.
