The integrated smart waste bin and street light assembly consists of two major modules. The first is the sensor-enabled waste bin and the second is the solar-powered street light. The design consists of a pole with two extended arms. The first arm, located at the base, supports the waste bin container.
The hardware prototype, shown in Fig. 11, has been fabricated to test the proposed smart waste bin model. As can be seen from the model, the waste bin assembly consists of a multifunctional pole with two extended arms. The arm at the base of the pole supports the waste bin. The second arm is placed at a height greater than the waste bin height.
